Custom Designed Hand-Collected Willow Accents and Furniture

Willow is something Gary enjoys working with because it is colorful, locally harvested and renewable.  Much of his willows are harvested from local ranchers’ land where they are removing it to improve pasture.  The material would go to waste if he didn’t harvest it.  And in a few years, it will be ready to harvest again.

Willow comes in a stunning pallet of yellows, golds, browns, greens and reds.  Often his work includes red osier dogwood, a scarlet addition to the already magnificent spectrum.  Additionally, fresh willow has a distinctive woodsy scent. We harvest the willow specific to each piece we make.  It is a seasonal material. To eliminate unwanted sprouting we only harvest in the winter, when we can see the color and straightness of the material.  Please take this into consideration when contacting us about a willow piece.

The use of willow was inspired by that lattias of the southwest.  We have modified that technique so that the beauty of willow can be incorporated into almost any home.

Our exclusive product line includes the Snowy Range Porch Swing. This swing will make any house homier.  The willow is strong enough for 2 people (350 pounds total) but can be made to hold more weight if requested.  The dimensions of the willow can be customized to fit the special spot at your home where a morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of iced tea can be sipped while you read your favorite novel or catch up on Facebook.  The frame is made from Rocky Mountain Pine milled by a local, woman-owned lumberyard.  It manifests the distinctive blue wabi of beetle killed lumber.
